I had a great experience attending the 12 weeks at D.A. Academy of North Carolina. The program is well-structured and provides a strong balance of both classroom learning and hands-on training. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and truly invested in helping students succeed. They take the time to ensure you understand each skill and feel confident applying it in a real dental setting. I would highly recommend this program to anyone looking to start a career in dental assisting.

I just completed DA Academy of NC’s 12 week Dental Assistant program and I can truly say that I’d recommend it to anyone wanting to become a Dental Assistant. Our instructor, Terica Morgan, was wonderful! It was always apparent that she cared about our success. I appreciate her patience. When I or any of my classmates struggled understanding something (X ray Tooth Identification wore me out!!!! 🥴) she’d explain it until we understood - never making any of us feel like small or incompetent. She was always kind & encouraging and when any of us started to doubt ourselves (before tests & our externships) she’d affirm us and remind us that we were prepared. We got much more hands-on training than I expected we would. We took x-rays, placed amalgam & composite fillings on mouth molds, practiced using hand tools, made impressions & created a crown. I’d be so proud after completing clinicals bc I was able to hold in my hands proof of what I’m capable of. During my 1st externship, the Dental Assistant I was shadowing who has been a DA for several years now was talking to me about the pay range to expect as a new DA. She said the more certifications the better & said she plans to go back
